The SAF Method

A Language for Understanding
Your Patterns

SAF is a structured system that translates the body's signals into a numerical chain. Each number corresponds to specific organs, glands, emotions, and life experiences — revealing the hidden patterns driving your current state.

The Process

How a Pattern Gets Located

SAF doesn't require you to know what's wrong. The questionnaire does the work of surfacing what the body already knows.

01

You complete the SAF questionnaire

A structured series of questions translates your current experience into a chain of numbers. Each number maps to a specific organ and gland system. The questions aren't diagnostic — they're designed to surface the body's own priorities, the things it's trying to communicate through symptoms, sensations, and repeating patterns.

02

A chain sequence is generated

The questionnaire produces a unique sequence of numbers — your chain. These numbers aren't random. They tell a story about the stressed organ and gland systems, the emotions in play, and the ages at which specific patterns were first encoded. The sequence is read in order, from lead to anchor.

03

Lead, Core and Anchor are identified

Three positions in the chain carry the most interpretive weight. The Lead is what's most active in the present — the current expression of the pattern. The Core is what's driving it beneath the surface. The Anchor is the oldest layer — the origin point where the charge first entered the system, often decades before the present complaint.

04

The pattern is interpreted and addressed

Once the chain is read, specific applications are identified to address the imbalance at its source. SAF provides a range of modalities — nutritional, energetic, behavioral, homeopathic — matched to the specific combination of numbers in your chain. The goal is resolution at the origin, not management of the symptom.

Reading the Chain

Lead · Core · Anchor

Every chain sequence tells a three-part story. Here's how to read it.

Lead · #23
Rejection

The first number in the chain. What's most active right now — the current expression of the pattern in the present.

Core · #14
Worry

The middle of the chain. What's driving the pattern beneath the surface — the active mechanism keeping it in motion.

Anchor · #21
Grief

The last number in the chain. The oldest layer — the origin point where the charge first entered the system, often in early life.

The Body as a Circuit

Every organ and gland system is a node in the body's electrical network

Joseph R. Scogna Jr. described the body in electrical terms — voltage, current, resistance — because this most accurately reflects how energy and information move between systems. When a traumatic event occurs, it doesn't just leave a memory. It leaves a charge.

That charge gets stored in specific organ and gland systems. It alters their function, changes how they communicate with the rest of the body, and influences behavior, emotion, and physiology — often for decades — without conscious awareness.

SAF maps this electrical network. The 24 organ and gland systems each have a number, an emotion, and a set of conditions associated with them. When those numbers appear in a chain sequence, they reveal which systems are carrying unresolved charge and what that charge is made of.

What Makes SAF Different

It locates the origin. Not just the symptom.

  • Specific, not general SAF doesn't produce generic wellness guidance. Every interpretation is specific to the numbers in your chain — which means it's specific to you.
  • Origin-focused, not symptom-focused The chain identifies where a pattern began — the anchor — not just how it's showing up now. Resolution work is directed at the source.
  • Structured and explainable SAF is not a belief system. Every claim is grounded, every concept is explainable, and nothing depends on faith in the method.
  • Resolution, not processing The goal is to release stored charge at its origin — not to develop better coping strategies or achieve ongoing management of a pattern.
  • Applicable alongside conventional care SAF has been used by medical practitioners alongside conventional treatment. It addresses a different layer — the energetic and emotional — that conventional medicine doesn't reach.

Common Questions

Questions About SAF

Is SAF scientifically grounded or is it alternative medicine?

SAF is built on the bioelectrical research of Joseph R. Scogna Jr., developed between 1975 and 1989 and documented in more than 100 published manuscripts and texts. It has been applied by medical practitioners alongside conventional treatment for decades since. It is structured, explainable, and research-backed — not a belief system.

Do I need any prior knowledge to work with SAF?

No prior knowledge is needed. The questionnaire does the work of surfacing your chain sequence. A practitioner reads and interprets it with you. The three-part email series is the best place to start — it explains the core concepts in plain language before you invest any time or money.

How is SAF different from therapy or coaching?

Therapy typically works at the level of narrative, emotion, and behavior. SAF works at the level of the body's electrical patterns — locating where a charge is stored and in which organ system. The two can be complementary, but SAF reaches a layer that talk-based approaches generally don't access.

What does a session actually involve?

Before the session you complete the SAF questionnaire, which generates your personal chain sequence. In the 60-minute session, your chain is interpreted with you — Lead, Core and Anchor are identified, the story the numbers tell is explained, and modality recommendations specific to your chain are provided. Sessions are conducted by Nic Scogna via Zoom.

Can I learn to read my own chain?

Yes. Course 1 teaches you the SAF numbering system from the ground up. By the end of eight structured modules you'll be able to read your own chain sequence independently and understand what it's telling you. Course 1 is also the first step in the practitioner certification pathway.
